A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE MEET GOD
We are a diverse family of people who love God, love each other & love our community
Wells of Life
As a group of churches, in the West Region of Oxfordshire Community Churches, God has spoken about ‘Wells of Life’. These wells are sources of life and are foundational values in our family of churches and we believe that God has got more for us in each of these areas .
They are Worship, Spiritual Life, The Body of Christ, Discipleship, & Mission and we want to reflect these key areas in our Vision and Values for this season
We are Worshipful
1 Chronicles 29:11&13
Worship is central to all that we do. We were made to worship God. We seek to honour Father, Son & Spirit through passionate, spirit filled worship. Our worship extends beyond singing together on a Sunday morning, it is something that is part of our everyday life.
We are Charismatic
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
God is living and working in our world today via his Holy Spirit. We are a people filled with the Holy Spirit. God speaks to us today through his word, the Bible, through his creation and through the Holy Spirit.
We are The Body of Christ
We are seeking to live together in generous community. Supporting and caring for one another, encouraging one another and working together. We are part of a wider family across West Oxfordshire. We are also a part of an apostolic sphere under Steve Jones, Salt & Light Advance, as well as a national and international family, Salt & Light Ministries. We also have growing links with the churches across Carterton.
We are On Mission
In the Great Commission Jesus commands us to ‘go’. We want to create spaces where people gather and can take the next step towards Jesus. We are a place where the Gospel is clearly and unashamedly shared
We also want to equip people to take the gospel and the love of Jesus everywhere they go.
We are Disciples
Romans 8:28-29, Proverbs 27:17
We are disciples of Jesus Christ, he is the standard we are working towards. God has got a purpose for everyone and we want to see everyone released into all that God has for them. We do this through our Sunday morning preaching, training sessions, small groups, personal pastoring and our relationships with one another.
